The day I found the male feather it was sunset and hundreds of black cockatoos were sitting in the trees against the red and orange sky softly chattering in their sweet voices. A beautiful sight and a magical feeling to witness, I wanted to capture the essence of that in this design. 
This beautiful Australian sacred bird holds deep wisdom and beauty. This feather print is based off actual feathers that I found in the wild in FNQ Australia.
